The Australian Opal Centre
In the beautiful outback landscape of Lightning Ridge, we're preparing to build the Australian Opal Centre, an amazing national museum in an energy-efficient, 100 metre long, two storey underground building, filled with glittering treasures and stories of the people who found them.

Have your photo taken with Russ, our resident Muttaburrasaurus, who has ducked through the window to say hello. (Don't worry, Russ is a herbivore, he only eats our garden.)You can also browse in our gift shop, filled with unique and beautiful items that make great gifts and souvenirs.
